Police Arrest 2 Black Realtors in Starbucks

In a story that is still developing, two black men were arrested April 12, 2018 in a Philadelphia Starbucks for the crime of waiting for a friend. To be precise, the two realtors were waiting for a friend inside the Starbucks on 18th and Spruce Streets and had not placed an order, they were then asked to leave by Starbucks staff and refused, stating that they were waiting for their acquaintance. The police were called to have the men removed, and the matter escalated to arrest when the men refused to leave the establishment. It should be noted that patrons have stated that caucasian non-paying customers were using the restroom and generally loitering around the coffee shop during the same period, but that they were not asked to leave the premises.
